The ban announced on 17th July has been canceled however United Utilities has warned that they may still need to introduce a ban at a later stage if dry weather continues.
The first hosepipe ban of the summer would have affected seven million customers. The ban was due to start tomorrow. (Sunday 12th August)
The slightly cooler temperatures and recent rainfall have eased the demand for water and together with our customers’ water saving efforts means we do not need to introduce any restrictions at this time.– United Utilities
